As there are many questions that guests have when booking the cottage we have created a handy FAQ page to answer the most common questions asked about Coachman’s Quarters.   • How many guests can Coachman’s Quarters accommodate?

Coachman’s Quarters comfortably accommodates two guests.

  • How many bedrooms are at Coachman’s Quarters?

There is one bedroom at Coachman’s Quarters with a king-size bed.

  • How many bathrooms are at Coachman’s Quarters?

There is the main bathroom located on the first floor with a walk-in shower, WC and washbasin. An additional cloakroom is located on the ground floor and has a WC and washbasin.

  • Are there any issues with accessibility?

Coachman’s Quarters has two sets of staircases, one from the living room to the bedroom and another, which is a narrow spiral staircase from the bedroom to the kitchen. There are also a number of steps leading from the terrace to the apartment and a sloped road from the car park to the entrance gate.

  • Is there off-road car parking?

There is an off-road car parking space for one car.

  • What appliances are in the kitchen?

There is an Electric oven with hob, microwave, washer/dryer, fridge/freezer and dishwasher.

  • Is the apartment dog friendly?

Yes, one dog is welcome at the apartment and charged at an additional £30.

  • Is the pathway to the apartment well lit?

Yes, there is timed lighting on the terrace that comes on at dusk and goes off at 11 pm. After this, a torch will be needed and a small battery torch will be in the apartment.

  • Are there any places to eat within walking distance?

Yes, there are several pubs, restaurants and cafes in Lynton - please note some of these are seasonal and may not be open all year round.

  • Where is the nearest beach?

Lynmouth, which can be accessed either via the Cliff Railway, the local footpath or by car has a dog-friendly beach all year round, alternatively just a couple of miles away past the Valley of the Rocks is Lee Bay, a privately owned beach that welcomes dogs from the end of October up to Good Friday.

  • Are there any shops in Lynton?

Yes, there are two small convenience stores along with a selection of other smaller shops selling various craft items and clothes.

  • How do I book Coachman’s Quarters?

The easiest way to book is via our online calendar, or alternatively please contact My Favourite Cottages via email or on 01271 377 432.

  • What payment methods are accepted?

We accept payment via bank transfer, credit/debit card, PayPal or cheque.

  • What deposit is due to secure a booking?

We take a 30% deposit plus a small booking fee to secure a booking with the outstanding balance due eight weeks prior to arrival.

  • Is there WiFi?

Yes, WiFi is available and included in the price.

  • Is the terrace private?

The terrace is private but not 100% dog secure, so dogs need to be on a lead or under very close control when on the terrace.

  • Are short breaks accepted?

Yes, we accept short breaks all year round. Please send us an enquiry with your dates and we can confirm the price for you.

  • What is your standard changeover day?

Our usual changeover day is a Saturday.
