Nestled on the hillside in Lynton overlooking Lynmouth in North Devon are Lynton Cottage Seaview Apartments. One of these pretty, character apartments is the one-bedroom Coachman’s Quarters, a delightful couple and dog-friendly holiday let within easy reach of many of North Devon’s popular attractions, including the Valley of the Rocks, the South West Coast Path and Exmoor National Park.

Second Floor - Lounge

The apartment is entered via the living room on the top (2nd) floor. Within the sitting room is a comfy sofa, a wall-mounted smart TV and an electric wood burning stove. A stairgate is fixed at the top of the stairs leading to the second floor and bedroom.

First Floor - Bedroom & Bathroom

There is a good-sized, tastefully decorated king-size bedroom at Coachman’s Quarters located on the first floor.

The main shower-room is located on the first floor alongside the bedroom, it is fitted with a walk-in shower, a WC and a washbasin.

Ground Floor - Kitchen/dining & WC

The fitted kitchen is situated on the ground floor of the apartment. It can be accessed either from the first floor by the spiral staircase or from outside. The kitchen has a good range of appliances including a fridge/freezer, a microwave, a washer/dryer and an electric oven with a hob. There is also a dining table to seat two.

Also, on the ground floor is a separate cloakroom with a washbasin and WC, as well as an area for hanging coats and storing boots.

Outside - Private Terrace

The highlight for many guests staying at Coachman’s Quarters is the apartment’s private terrace, which has stunning views over the ocean and towards Countisbury. The terrace, which has a table and chairs is ideal for those warm summer evenings when you can sit back and relax.

Please note the terrace is accessed from the living room or the apartment’s entrance gate, which is securely locked, but it is not fully dog proof, so your four-legged friends should be kept on a lead when on the terrace or under supervision.

Accessibility

Please note Coachman’s Quarters is not suitable for everyone due to accessibility issues both inside and out, these include a sloped road leading to the entrance gate, steps leading down to the apartment and two flights of stairs within the apartment including the spiral staircase. Please do discuss any potential access requirements with My Favourite Cottages prior to booking.

Dogs

One well behaved small/medium sized dog (smaller than a Lab) is welcome* at Coachman’s Quarters and a special dog-friendly welcome hamper can be provided from local pet store The Lyn Valley Dog House for £30.00. Please let us know at the time of booking if you would like to order a special dog-friendly welcome hamper. Each pack contains a “Dog on Holiday” dog tag, a Green & Wilds eco toy - either Carlos the Crab or Olive the Octopus; a bag of The Lyn Valley Dog House Snazzy Sausages, an eco bamboo bowl from Beco; a map showing local dog walks; and a roll of eco poop bags.

*Please be aware that although a dog is welcome at the apartment guests should note that the terrace is not fully dog proof and your four-legged friend is unlikely to be able to use the spiral staircase.
